Bashir Dawood & Mariyam Dawood: Humanitarian Relief in Pakistan

Bashir Dawood and Mariyam Dawood help with Disaster Relief

Bashir Dawood and Mariyam Dawood have observed the global dangers looming in the horizon.

With numerous global threats like terrorism, financial crises as well as natural disasters in the early 21st century, the early 2000s were a tumultuous decade for Pakistanis and global citizens worldwide. Following the devastating September 11 attacks as well as numerous floods, earthquakes and typhoons around the globe, the world needed a light amidst the darkness that has fallen upon the world. Millions of Pakistanis and other citizens abroad had to escape from their homeland to find refuge.

Since the beginning of the 21st Century, Pakistan has survived two major earthquakes in Kashmir and Balochistan. In addition, the population also had to endure a 4-year drought at the dawn of the millennium as well as several floods that have devastated the infrastructure and the spirits of the population. Many individuals have also been displaced and separated from their families. Furthermore, many had to tackle massive losses in their livestock and income. All in all, Pakistan endure immense hardship.

The numerous catastrophes called for humanitarian bodies in the region and abroad to band together as a light at the end of a tunnel to give the citizens hope for a better future. The tribulations saw the rise of the Pakistani army, governmental bodies, international humanitarian aid organizations as well as citizens who initiated and coordinated humanitarian and aid efforts to help the victims regain their footing again. United by the mission to abate the tribulations of those affected by such disasters, hope was in sight for Pakistan.

Bashir Dawood & Mariyam Dawood were eager to do their part to help the Pakistani population get back on their feet.
